I had a dodge I traded in for my tundra. They can write whatever I'm real happy with my tundra. Maybe these are the same experts that said the economy and real estate were doing just fine 6 months ago.

Hmmm

Toyota has been quiet about the beatings, I guess they do not want to offend any Americans that might consider trying there products for the first time after years of loyalty to the "The 3".

What is really interesting the 08 Motor Trend Truck of the Year finished # 5 in TruckTrends Jan/Feb09 Article "HALF-TON FIGHT CLUB". I've emailed the editor of the article and pointed out dozens of facts/stats which contradict the article in everyway and todate I've have had NO RESPONSE.

I too traded a Ram hemi for my Tundra and I now have a much better truck. The wind blew the drivers door open on the Ram and bent the hinges and I had to straighten it out. It was weak, my Tundra is much stronger than than even though my reg cab has gigantic doors! Also the best fuel mileage I could squeeze out of the Ram was 20mpg highway. Driven the same way my more powerful Tundra got 27!!!! That is correct!!!! No mistake. I can duplicate it. I get about 18 in 60%city 40%country hilly roads. I want to see any full size pickup do that (no hybrids). My wife has a 96 Cougar 4.7 and it wont do more than 19. My Dodge Dakota 318 could only do 22 at best. I doubt any full size with a V6 can do as well. Maybe i have an exceptional truck!

I don't know man...... I want to think . 60% city getting 18mpg and 27 HWY..... it's not crazy hilly in this state and I can reset the computer once on the interstate, put the cruise on 65 and 3 hrs later on the interstate if their's no traffic I can get 20. I babied my truck the first month or 2 because it was new and gas was over $4 a gal and I'd avg 17-18 after a tank full. Now I drive normal and get in the 15s at the end of the tank since gas is $1.50 now.

I can't even imagine what a sloth you must have to drive like to avg 18 with all that city driving, unless your town has one light...

Yeah, when gas was $4 I was driving like a granny and getting 20-21mpg on average. Now that it's cheap I can't get much better than 16mpg. I do have my dogbox in the bed and that does have a pretty big affect too I guess.

Yeah right Josh.... more likely your lead foot, lol!

To be honest, I have found the same thing. When gas was near $4, I really watched how I drove to beast to maximize mpg, striving for the elusive 19 mpg (for my truck). Now I just say the heck with it... 16-16.5 mpg, so what!

Who gives a flying bat turd about the reviews? The Big 3 have placed this economy in jeopardy and it all comes down to greed. I support my country, but I support my wallet and my future too. I couldn't buy another spark plug spitter (Ford), another brake eater (Dodge) or a truck that look like it was smiling all the time (Chevy).

I bought the truck of the year for me.

When gas was $4, I drove... well pretty much like I drive now. I get anywhere from 14.5-16.5 mpg. I've tried to baby it and couldn't get over 18 so I decided what was the point? I'd rather get there like I want to get there rather than take forever. If I want to save gas, I take my motorcycle.

Ive tried to baby my RC a few times... getting only 17mpg twice. There was ONCE when I got 20.1... and thats only because I done alot of driving in one day and it was FOGGY ALL DAY and I never got over 1200 rpms and never topped 45 for the speed. It almost drove me crazy driving like that. I normally average 13 or 14. Ive got a really heavy foot
