Anybody have pictures of the recalled floormats?

I wonder if this applies to the "limited" floor mats (or are those just the same type as the regular floormats)?

The floor mat on my truck doesn't extend under the pedal at all. There's a big cutout on both sides. I guess if you knock it loose from the hold downs it might be able to get into the pedal, but it should be easy to knock out of the way then too.

I'm not going to worry about this right now. I'll wait for more details to come out.

Mine is the same way Kevo and I have the Limited.... not quite sure how the OEM carpeted mat could cause such a problem on my truck.

So any idea what they are going to do? I don't like the mats either, but I was charged for them, so they either need to replace them or refund me so I can get my own. Surely they are going to do something...

I will be very surprised if Yoda does nothing. They value their reputation and having a final "fix" that only involves removing and not replacing the driver's side mat is, IMHO, highly unlikely. That said, it may take a while as I suspect they will have to figure out what is an acceptable fix, design and produce whatever that fix is, and then provide that fix to the recalled vehicle owners. BTW, my first post on this issue was done "tongue-in-cheek," lol!

A colleague here at work has a 2007 Taco (which is included in the recall), and he told me this morning that he has had the accelerator stick twice from his driver's side floormat, both times he ended up turning the key off and braking to a stop. He figured out it was his mats causing the problem and now grabs the mat each time he drives the truck and pulls it all the back towards the seat. Since his driver's mat does not have the interlock tabs, I suggested that he replace it with one that did until Yoda comes upwith a fix.

Insane.. what a bunch of idiots. It's like all the drivers in the fast lane going slow. Either they're a bunch of regulators or a bunch of idiots, either way the need to move the heck over into the slow lane and get out of the way of progress. Yes this is meant for both the roadway and our politicians. When will people simply take responsibility for themselves, my guess is never, it's getting worse all the time. Remember the comment during the campaign by a lady who said If I take care of him "Obama" he'll take care of me, all standing in line with they're hands out. How many roadway intersections now have full time panhandlers, too many. In my opinion all who receive government assistance should have to help pay for it by working, ie; pick up trash, work at a food kitchen, something.. ok enough ranting.
