| Trany Working on 2000 4wd Tundra It has trany fluid getting into the radiator. Any idea how this could happen? It causes the overflow to run all over the front of truck. Had to add 3 qts trany fluid. |

| Do you have a transmission cooler? Usually a transmission cooler uses the radiator for the cooling.

| On the new Tundras, doesn't the truck use the engine coolant to warm up the 6 speed transmission fluid to operating temperature faster? Wonder if they did that in the 5 speed as well. A blown gasket maybe? Is there a gasket anywhere between the two fluids?

| ^^ What he said.... radiator likely has a leak between the tranny cooler portion and antifreeze/water portion.

I pretty sure they didn't do that on the 1st gen tundra...........I belive the only trans Warmer/ Cooler is in the 6 speed.....The 5 speed dosen't have it on the current 4.7...it is just a cooler.
