Nope but you can change out the battery 60 miles from home at 3am when it decides to crap out like my Titans did. Luckily there was a Super Walmart 3 miles down the road so I was able to hoof it down there and back with a replacement.

My '84 F250 had a nice retractable light under hood.

Under hood lights were manufactured with mercury switches, those have been discontinued due to fears of toxicity.

Mercury?!? The same mercury that's in the Compact Flourescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) that the AlGore people want us (and soon will legislate for us) to buy at $4 apiece? ...And breaking one apparently warrents a Haz-Mat Team to respond?

DIY Underhood Wireless Lights

Well, since I have been remodeling my kitchen, this brain flatulation came to me after reading this thread. So, for about 30 bucks. I fixed that little inconvenience. Hopefully, will never be stranded in the dark. Take care.

Very nice. My mother won some similar lights in a "Chinese gift exchange" last month. She wasn't sure what she was going to do with them and I had a similar idea to what you ended up doing. I don't if they are the same, but I like that yours are removable so they could be hand held lights as well. Thanks for sharing the write-up and the pics.
