Under Hood Light?

Where is it? I find it very hard to believe, I can spend $35000 on a Limited Tundra and not have a light when I need to open the hood in the dark. Is there really not supposed to be a light?

Who opens the hood? It's a Tundra. It'll never break down. Or at least that's what I figured Toyota's excuse would be.

I felt the same way, but that's the way it is, unfortunately

It's funny you guys brought this up. I was working on my truck when I was installing the Amp bed steps and had to wire it up to the battery and secure the wiring harness. Who the heck builds a top of the line vehicle and doesn't put in something so simple as a hood light?
Every auto I've owned has had a hood light. Why skimp on something so basic? Oh well, on a side note the GM underhood light Squid linked to was the most usable hood light that every came with a truck. I might have to get one of these. Just in case I decide to look at my motor on a dark road. LOL

You mean in case you have to jump start another vehicle on a dark road.

Thats a great mod, instead of pulling out the flashlight to show off the godzilla engine cover at night.

If I remeber right... ALOT of the newer chevrolets dont even have the lights. My only guess is they quit installing them becuase you cant really work on all these new high tech motors. Really.... What can you do? Show off the painted cover or jump someone off... Thats just about it nowadays.

Yeah, it's not like you have to stop and file the points, or check the in-line fuel filter before the carburetor to get max performance anymore is it!!??
