| Modding Your Vehicle and Your Factory Warrenty There's an act that was passed in 1975 the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act that covers this topic and believe it or not it's not just for automobiles. It also applies to just about everything you purchase. We don't even think twice about modifying our laptops or home computers but what's the difference between adding an intake to your truck or adding Kingston memory to your Dell laptop? ![]() To hep you understand this act I've included an easy to read explanation Keeping Your Mod's Warranty Intact - For Dummies what the act means to Businesspeople A Businessperson's Guide to Federal Warranty Law and finally a PDF form our friends at SEMA.

| I have actually brought a copy of the act as well as copies of warranty rules from the SEMA site when bringing in cars in the past. They once tried to refuse a binding brake caliper because I had added a supercharger. Claimed the brakes could not handle the added power.
