Just another example of engineers letting the ball drop. Seems that many times some of the simple solutions are not seriously considered when designing a truck. I am satisfied with my 07 Tundra but would have liked more control over some aspects of the truck. The oil filter design, drive line lube and transmission shifting and transmission fluid level check are some. Not meaning to sound like a rant. It just seems that Toyota and other companies want to tell us what we want. On that note it appears that government is doing that also.

I greased my u-joints again last week when I changed out the front and rear diff oil.
Pgilley is right about the front drive line being very tough to get a grease gun on. I even bought a right angle fitting for the grease gun, and it was still tough.I ended up wasting a lot a grease trying to get the gun on the zert.

Not so on the 2n gen Tundra. The drive shafts (front and rear) both have grease fittings "zerks" Get a grease gun with a flex hose and you can get them greased up. You may well have to turn each of the drive shafts to get access, but the zerks are there and need to be greased.
