Don't be a dumbass.

I kept procrastinating about changing my air filter and cabin filter since I bought my truck. When I finally got around to doing it this is what I found.

Moral of the story is don't be like me and change out the filters more often.

Steve

Oh yeah I forgot the worst part of the story. I went to the local parts store and had one place argue with me that my truck was not a v6 and it was a v8. The other place did not stock them so I had to go to the dealer. After convincing the "parts person" that my truck did indeed have a cabin filter I had the pleasure of paying over $70.00 and they wouldn't even give me any lube for that anal raping.

Cutting a hole in my ceiling in the garage so I could get up in the attic and insulate it. It was so cold I couldn't even hang out there last winter. Hopefully between that, insulating the garage door, installing a new man door, and a new window(next month) will make it workable in there this winter.

I was wondering why that one filter looked different. I check my filter about twice a year, maybe more. I just clean it out and vacuum it. It's hasn't been dirty enough to replace yet.

So does the V6 use a stock CAI through the fender as well?

It's behind the lower glove box.

My glove box is locked with a pistol inside and the lock want work. The serviced the truck a couple of months ago and noted he couldn't get in the box on the ticket, but didn't even tell me about it, idiots!

Is there a chance you are using the gray valet key instead of the black key?
