Ok, got a question. 305/70 R18, on a calculator it comes to a 34.81x12.01. BIG O Extranet

On MT's website they say it is 35x12.2.

5389 LT305/70R18 35X12.50R18 BLK126Q71E3,75065 8.0-10.09 12.2 9.8 35.0 20

Which one is right? The width I'm not worried about it's that extra 1/4 inch in diameter that could make or break that tire on my truck.

The calculators will give a good reference of size. But even then there could be a little variation. On light truck sizes 1/4-1/2" variation is not uncommon.
On large loader tires I've seen two tires sitting side by side (different manufactures), same size, and have 2" difference.

Any advice on where to find a set of 18 inch OEM rims for a 2007 Mountaineer (or Explorer)? My wife's rig came with "Milanni" aftermarket rims. I am not a big fan of them.

I have bought "take offs" from Tire Rack in the past. They are reasonable.

2ndly, whats the better of these tires IYHO. (BTW in either size & in no specific order)

Pro comp's
Kumho RD venture M/Ts
Mickey thompson baja MTZ or ATZ
Toyo open country M/Ts
Dick Cepek FCII
Nitto Mud grapplers

I live in Vancouver BC, so we get snow in the winters which im in alot, i do alot of road driving but i go off rd too on logging roads ect.

Hey soul
I think most of the guys are easily fitting the 33" & the 35's with some trimming of skid plate and mud flaps.
As far as the tire selection, here is what you should consider.
1. Is tire noise a factor?
2. Do you need local service for your tires? A aggressive tire will need rotations every 6000-10,000 miles to reduce irregular wear. Don't forget most local dealers will provide this service plus be there for warranty issues also. Internet sales can't provide service after the sale.
To be honest with you I'm not that familiar with any of the above. I have seen them but there's not many in my area so I can't give you a good "gut" feeling as to their performance.
Sorry not much help on that one.

Onpoint, Thanks for minding the store. I have been super busy lately. I just got home from a 350 mile round trip. I bought some tire racking today, about 1 1/2 tractor trailer loads. It will be at the store tomorrow so I guess I'll be busy for a while longer.
O ya got almost 17 mph @ 74 mph stock- no CAI. using cruise, AC/DC, G&R AND A FEW OTHERS
