| They make a half leaf spring which is suppose to reduce/eliminate wheel hop. It goes roughly from just in front of the leaf spring to the front of the leaf spring (I think they call them "helper" springs. I know I put one on my old Titan (which was notorious for wheel hop) and it work wonderfully. You can get these at AutoZone or one of the other parts houses (seems to me it was less than $30 for the pair). |

| yes, they are helper springs. the guys in the frontier community raved about them all the time too. they were actually installing them upside down, and the front side of the leaf. they said it would sort of act like a traction bar.... i never tried them, even though it was cheep. i figured i could either try this mod that "supposedly" works, or buy myself a bottle of whiskey. i went for the whiskey these ones that the OP is talking about look a little more spendy....

| I just got informed on these. They are suppose to do everything, helper springs, sway control ,wheel hop , by keeping the springs arched. Some older tundra owners loved them. They had an extended development time with the 2nd gen. The biggest downside is that they can raise the back of the truck an inch or 2. Would people be interested in a group buy? Anyone install them on a 2nd gen? |
