Blaster

A guy came in with a set of mounted 39/15.50x15 on 14" rims and wanted them changed out with his 35/12.5x15. Not only were the rims a bit small but the tires had been stacked and were flattened out. I didn't think they would inflate but they did with a couple of blasters. Each tank had around 120 psi. Open the valve quickly and hold on.........

I've seen the fire ones in person! I wouldn't try myself.

That looks pretty neat though.

ya i dont have a truck/jeep that can handle the rubicon 4x4 trial here in CA but i go ever other year or so at least as a extra / rock stacker / guide for my brother or his crazy as friends so see this ever ones in a while. If you like to 4X4 on some tuff stuff skip the rubicon if you only have a few days and hit up fordyce trial way less crowded and just as hard or harder in my mind.

p.s. sorry to thread jack ya warren

We've never used ether. Way to uncontrollable and dangerous for me. Think about the next guy that lets the explosive fumes out of the tire while smoking. Makes a bad hair day.

I've seen single blasters used at tire shops before. Never seen double until that video.

I've used starter fluid on a tire before. Buddy lost a bead in some mud at the hunting lease right outside the house. That was the only way we could get the tire back on the rim. It's not that dangerous if you are careful and not use too much fluid. A little goes a long way.

I've never used a blaster. Are they an old freon tank with a huge nozzle? I have what is like an old inner tube to squeeze the center of the tires out. But then again i never had a tire that big

I've seen those, I think in a museum, lol just kidding. Haven't used them in many years. We've used just about everything to seat beads, ratchet straps, Tire grease. Ever seen that stuff? I think it's made by Murphys. It's kind of a thick, stringy kind of paste. Makes a hellva mess but helps prevent the air from leaking by the gap. The blasters are much easier. The tanks are about the size of a 20lb propane tank, with a huge ball valve & about $300 ea.

Well my stuff is museum age. I never saw the grease, closest is bead sealer which is still used.
A couple of beer bellies work much of the time to push in a tire.
