Somebody owes me a donut! =)

Personally I wouldn't use it but you should be fine with that as a spare on the front just as long as you don't have to stomp on the brakes...? So I would suggest being very careful in 2WD only and as long as it's not on the rear axle. So I guess it depends whether you want to carry a pair of jack stands in case a rear goes flat, if you are on the road you could also call for roadside assistance.

All 3 OE tires are 32" mathematically, not 31". A 305/55/20 is 33.2" tall or a little over 1" taller than OE. How you wound up with a 29" spare instead of a 32" is weird.

Sometimes the claimed size is not the actual size.

I have the OEM 20's, had a flat a few months back, put the 18" spare on, and as I recall, it appears to be darned close to the same height.

Of the 3 OEM sizes, ironically the 20" is the shortest........only by a few hundredths though.

I have used a 17 inch spare on my old truck and it had 20's the tire and wheel together are comparable to the 20 with a lower profile tire, i wouldnt see any problem using a 18 and a 20 if your worried about it dont put it on a drive wheel, throw it up front.

It's not a good idea to drive with different sized tires - traction control or not.
