Last thoughts

ok so i have an awesome deal on these Toyo open country M/Ts, i have been chatting with onpoint & few others who have helped me out lots, but i would just like some feed back & your thoughts on what size i should be ordering here. if you have any opinion on these sizing pls tell me.

onpoint did send me this link for those of you who are thinking of upgrading a lil at a time & want to stay on stock rims
Official Thread: Tire Answers for All Setups - TundraTalk.net - Toyota Tundra Discussion Forum

so my opitions are as follows:

33x12.50R18 maybe a lil to wide some are saying for stock rims.

LT275/70R18
(33.4"x11.0" wide-18") a tad taller but an inch or so thinner could be better for stocks.

LT285/75/18 (35.1"x11.6" wide-18") my choice but im not sure if they will look weird or even fit the truck?

Im on 3/1 lift kit & i really dont mind bending & cutting a tundra

thx guys ill have pics to follow within a week i hope.

Soulshine, what makes you think that the 12.5's are too wide for stock rims? I am running 35 x 12.5 x 18 on mine with a 3/1 lift.

Soul, if you're gonna' do the 3/1 lift, for the best look, I'd go with the biggest tire I could get away with, especially since you said you're willing to "cut and bend" your Tundra a tad to make them fit. My 2 cents!

I think he's referring to the minimum recommended rim width according to Toyo. They recommend at least 8.5 inches and I think the stock rims are only 8". Doesn't mean it can't be done, but I think it might be a problem getting replacements if something should fail. They could always argue that you were not following their specs. I could be wrong, but I believe that's what he means.

Anyways wow I love them and there not even on the truck yet, I gotta say they are huge! heres a few pics........

oh i know my truck is dirty, im a builder its hard to keep this thing clean in the back, even with a dump trailer
