Crossdrilled / Slotted Rotors & Brake Pads Install

Well as my truck is apart for the AirRide install by FXCustomz, what better time to have Crossdrilled/Rotors and new ceramic posi-quiet brake pads installed. Bought these from R1 Concepts whom I bought my rotors off of when I had my Magnum. Never had any issues in the (3) years I ran them on the Magnum, so I bit on these for the Tundra. So he cut me a dealio, and I will now be running them on the Tundra.

For those of you wanting a reveiw...I will not have a review of these until most likely in December once the truck is back on the road.

You can check out their website at:

R1Concepts.com

Pics below before and after install by Billy w/ FXcustomz.

Front wheel back on..Just a test shot after the front airride install..Yes I know a lug is missing, but this was just for a test shot.

Very Nice Marky. I plan on getting these myself. A buddy of mine bought premium pads and did not replace his rotors, the pads ate through the oem rotors in 2 months.

Marky Mark,

Those look awesome. I was wondering why you didn't go with a big brake kit? I know they make up to 16in rotors. They would look awesome behind those 22's you have. Either way good work. Did you get the rear ones as well? You'll have to tell us of their performance once you test them out.

These are right at 16" if I am not mistaken since I do not have them in front of me...And the big brake kits I have seen are over $2000 on up to over $4000. I would not spend that on brakes unless I tracked/raced my vehicle. Brakes on the Tundra seem to be much better than most brakes I have had on any other vehicle on top of that.

I did get the rear ones too, and they will go on as the AirRide goes on back there. All of that has to come off anyhoo as I am having the axels shorten in the rear.

Thats a good point, $2000 and up is too expensive, our stock brakes are pretty awesome, I'm sure those will be even better. I have to say your truck looks pretty tight. One question though. Have you spent as much on the mods as you have paid for the truck?...lol! You've put in a ton of work and money and it shows!
