Shurtrax for Added Traction

Now why didn't I think of this?
shurtrax added truck weight for better truck traction

The gadget, which is basically a 400lb. water-filled bladder, spreads the weight evenly over a large portion of the bed. Owners of the ShurTrax can continue to use the truck bed, since the device can withstand a 500lb load. The product is reasonably affordable too, with a sticker price between $120 - $140. It can even be had for your RWD car, pretty cool.

hey now, the little one is exactly what i need to put some weight in the bow of my boat!

I have a 20 foot War Eagle that is very nice and can scoot with the 150 rude on the back. problem is i need some weight up front to keep the bow from bouncing at high speeds.

looks like i can stuff it in the bow compartment up front, then fill it after its in the area. worth a try for 70 bucks.

That would be just the thing for the back-country during dry summers. Never know if you'll need to squirt a spot fire or two to get out. Small pump and a hose/nozzle, you're in business.

I have one in my CrewMax to calm the ride over those concrete expansion joints we enjoy so much here in So Cal. Makes a big difference.

I did a Google search and found it for $46.30 for the Full Size model!! This is $8.00 bucks less than I paid! It is typically around $100 - $120 bucks.

Here is the link if anyone is interested.

Could be a nice addition for winter driving, It states that it can withstand temperatures to -40 degrees.

My imagination's been running around on this for the last day. You could carry a pump with you so you could vary your weight. Would be good for gravel roads at other times of the year. Take water on from creeks and such. Or if you have a costco membership, you could make a huge batch of Kool-aid.
