| BFG vs Nitto vs Toyo vs Cooper Which tire do you guys think is the best wet weather tire? How about the smoothest and quietest at highway speeds? (yes I realize these are all aggresively patterned all terrain tires) We're talking AT KO vs Terra Grappler vs Open Country AT vs Zeon. Opinions please... |

| I've run Toyos before for about 10k miles - until they were worn out...worst set of tires I've ever had! The tires looked great at first, but were soft and gummy to the touch - felt like giant erasers. I could visibly see tread loss on a couple hundred mile trip. |

| I like the Toyo's the best, but it is crucial to tire ware that you rotate them. Here are some pics. of Toyo 325/60/18. And yes they are on a TITAN.... The BFG are not an LT tire as for the Nitto, they're an excellent tire as well and usually a few $$$ cheaper. |

| I had a set of 285/65/r16 toyo's on my 01' tacoma x-cab TRD 4x4 and put 68,000 miles on them before trading the truck in the secret to any tire is air pressure and proper rotation

| i have a set of nitto tg's and bfg at's for my frontier. i like them both, however both have a few downfalls. remember, this is my comparison on my midsize that i rarely towed with. these are the "cons" i noticed. bfg pick up rocks like CRAZY. if you drive alot of gravel roads, i wouldnt recommend them. also, if you do ANY towing of heavy loads on gravel roads, dont get them. my dad had them on his super duty for about 10k miles and they literally had chunks missing out of them. they were 8 ply and he pulls a 26' stock trailer on a regular basis on his ranch. i have about 32k on the set on my frontier. they are at about half thread. also, they are not as good as the nitto's in the snow and ice. mud, id give the bf's the advantage. nitto i cant comment on the life of these because they only have about 7k miles on them. my only real complaint about these tires is the road noise. iv tried everything from 25psi to 40psi with little difference in noise. if these tires hold up like most say they do, this is one of the best bang for your buck AT tire you can get. i got in on a good deal on discounttiredirect.com. they had 100 dollars off any set of 4 tires, plus free shipping. i got my 285/75/16s shipped to my door for $472. 285/75/16 nitto and 285/65/18 bfg ![]()
