The theory looks interesting in principle. My question is this though......what issue with typical tires are we looking to solve with this wheel? The occasional flat tire?

They are surprisingly ugly, and look like a BMX mag wheel reincarnate on a vehicle.

Ok, my concern is bumps, potholes, etc. What if i am cruising down a street at say 40mph and then I hit a huge pothole. I would be afraid of damaging my rim. and what if I have 4-5 people in my vehicle I mean geez this thing looks like you would need new rims as often as you do a replacement tire from going flat.
